Tom is a registered US patent attorney with over two decades of experience in patent preparation and prosecution, patent portfolio management, technology licensing, and intellectual property evaluation for mergers and acquisitions. He has worked at one of the world’s largest technology companies and at one of the world’s largest law firms. His clients have included companies of all sizes, including a start-up that has grown to a market capitalization of over $60B. His work has included assisting patent counsel in Europe, China, and Japan and representing a large Japanese company in a technology licensing deal with a US start-up.
Prior to his law career, Tom worked as a microprocessor and chipset design engineer and team leader and as a custom (analog and digital) integrated circuit process and test engineer. He was the lead inventor on one US patent and a co-inventor on three US patents.
Outside of work, Tom enjoys running, biking, swimming, and spending time with his family and friends.
