Dimitri is a registered patent attorney with years of experience in the legal field. His practice focuses on patent preparation, patent prosecution, and licensing support. Over the years, Dimitri has assisted numerous companies develop strategies to protect their assets in a variety of fields. His avid appreciation for technology allows him to quickly ascertain complex technologies and determine the most effective route for providing protection.
Protecting intellectual property does not lend itself to a one-size fits all solution. Understanding the goals of a client and matching those goals with an effective and dynamic strategy is key to Dimitri’s practice. While in private practice and in industry, he has worked closely with engineers and executives to appreciate the details of each invention such that the best course for protecting and monetizing these assets was developed.
Prior to joining the firm, Dimitri worked as in-house counsel for a wireless startup company where he focused on developing a global patent portfolio and enforcement strategy. Arriving at the early stages of the startup, Dimitri was able to assist the company receive several rounds of investment funding in large part due to the strong performance of the company’s intellectual property portfolio.
Before entering the legal profession, Dimitri spent several years working as a software engineer in the defense industry. While assisting in the development of the next generation battle command and military communications systems, Dimitri was able to glean important technological competencies which he continues to use and build on.
When Dimitri is not fighting tirelessly for his clients, he enjoys running, working on his house, and hiking with his wife and son.
